Senior Principal Software Engineer

Location : Bangalore

As a Senior Software Principal Engineer, you will be responsible for developing sophisticated systems and software basis the customer’s business goals, needs and general business environment creating software solutions.


You will :

* Design and lead the effort on automation, CI/CD processes and tools to make our services simpler and more robust
* Mentor team members in design collaboration, code reviews, development tools and processes
* Take part in the full software development life cycle including development, test, continuous delivery and support
* Be an active member of an agile team, collaboratively realizing features through development, test and delivery

Essential Requirements :

* Proficient experience in C++ and Linux (with C, Python or Bash scripting experience would be a plus). Experience in Yocto Framework, BIOS, device drivers, and hardware interfaces
* Experience with Linux internals and operating system concepts.
* Knowledge of data structures and algorithms; Familiar with algorithmic concepts that can scale with constant performance; Hardware knowledge.
* Ability to design, implement and debug user/kernel multi-threaded systems.
* Technical "hands-on" position in a fast-paced delivery-oriented environment

Desirable Requirements :

Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or related field

You will :

* Work on complex features through the releases and agile software lifecycle.
* Gather, Learn, analyze software requirements, shaping them into actionable items, tests, and automation.
* Be responsible for developing and execution of test plans and implementing the automation for the PowerFlex product
* Automate using variety of tools such as python, selenium, and internal automation platform

Essential Requirements :

* BS in computer science or related technical discipline
* At least 2-4 years of QA hands-on experience with one or more of the following: Storage, Server, Virtualization, UI testing, and networking.
* Coding ability, good python knowledge.
* Good troubleshooting and analytical skills
* Understanding of software testing methodologies and lifecycle.

Desirable Requirements :

* Exposure to storage solutions (files, block storage, replication, etc. from any vendor)
* Knowledge on Containers/Dockers/Kubernetes and exposure in full stack storage management product validation (aka from UI-REST-Backend)

Senior Software Engineer

Location : Bangalore

As a Software Engineer, Sr in PowerFlex Customer Experience Engineering, you will be responsible for designing, developing customer-centric use cases for the management and orchestration automation for our software defined storage platform (PowerFlex). The work this team develops and supports enable this multi-billion-dollar infrastructure product line. You will report to the Director S/W Engineering collaborating with several highly skilled software engineers, and technologist across teams/organizations.

You will :

* Execute software development plans to ensure high quality of PowerFlex Management & Orchestration automation software and contributes to the design and architecture of new or re-engineered software for customer-centric use cases.
* Participate in the design of general integration strategies and propose/develop specific point integrations within the general framework.
* Ensure all designs are version-proof as integrated products follow their own roadmaps/life cycles.
* Develop Use Cases and other analysis / design artifacts that ensure requirements and score are clearly defined.


Essential Requirements :

* 5 -8 years of experience in software development with a Bachelor’s and/or master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
* Enterprise Java with spring boot including participation in enterprise-class projects with 2-3 years of experience in scripting languages such as python and Ruby.
* Hands on experience with Cloud Skills – REST APIs, Containers, Docker, Kubernetes, Service Load Balancers.
* Deep knowledge and coding experience in python modules (including Flask) with working experience with tools/servers such as database SQL.
* Familiarity with code management and deployment tools – Jenkins and GIT. Experience with Linux/Windows infrastructure and Agile workflow methodologies - Scrum/Kanban.

Desirable Requirements :

* Knowledge of the storage domain is a great plus.
* Understanding of Cisco switches, VMware vCenter and Dell PowerEdge is a plus.
